Cover reveal, Pricing and Updates

A short update on what's been going on at Art By Meredith so far this month.

Cover Reveal

Earlier this week Kay Berrisford revealed the new cover for her upcoming release through Love Lane Books of her first Underground Elves Book, Catching Kit.

Pricing

From September 1st, I'm changing the way I price my covers. It has been a difficult decision and I have taken the time to really think about where I am and where I want to be within the market. After two and a half years, I feel a lot more confident in my abilities and in actually putting myself out there. So, this is me moving forward and really focusing on this as the career I want it to be. I want to thank all of my authors I have worked with up to this point, who have all been absolute stars since I started this journey to finding my way in the business of cover making. For more information please see the Pricing Information tab at the top of the blog.

Ready-made Covers

New for the latter half of 2014, I have started a page dedicated to ready-made covers. I see this as both another way to showcase my cover art, as well as an opportunity for making covers a little different to the usual styles of my authors. These will be offered for sale and come with the same file set as the custom covers (Cover, promo sizes, banner, and inside title page). For more information and to see the covers available so far, please take a look at the tab above. I hope to add more in the future, including m/f covers as I've mainly only worked with m/m authors, so I'm looking forward to the chance to dabble in other genres of story.

Much love

Cover Art - Max and the Prince (Bodyguards Inc 3) - RJ Scott

That moment when your author falls in love with a model but he looks like this...

Look at that guy hanging out on the beach all fine and youthful, all wet hair, sand stuck to his skin (and probably also in places we only dream of seeing), that beautifully hazy, bright, sunshine, and washed out, smooth skin. Yes, overall incredibly hot. The problem? Remember covers 1 and 2 in the Bodyguards Inc series? *points up* Not really the same kind of feel to him. But RJ is smitten and so beginneth the task of making him work. A few clicks (think more eleventy-million) and I give you the cover for Max and the Prince.

Cover Art - The Last Wolf - Sue Brown

You know when you just find two images so perfect they NEED to be together on a cover? Well, these two did. The wolf did go through a wee makeover as originally he was white. Note: No wolves were harmed in the making of this cover... Okay, maybe three were chopped up and made into a nice fur coat and pasted on :)
