The first digital art I ventured into was fanart when I got my hands on an early version of paintshop pro. I had always loved art as in pencil on paper and paint on canvas and this was something new to play around with and learn how to get the effects I wanted.
Early in 2012, RJ Scott asked me to make her a cover for her YA book The Decisions We Make. It was certainly a learning curve from going from googling what the heck I liked to having to go to sites, buy images and look for free resources for extra images and fonts that were usable for commercial projects. The cover worked out great and it went from there. I adore the process and I guess you'd say it's my safe place and easy to lose myself in stock site searches and putting the cover together.
